I am the author of three poetry chapbooks - EEKU, illustrated by 7ARS and Sandy DeLuca and released by Sam's Dot Publishing in August 2005; ChemICKals, illustrated by Donna Taylor Burgess and Alicia Burgess and released by Naked Snake Press in June 2007, and Toward Absolute Zero, cover art and design by Scott Virtes and released by Sam's Dot in June 2009. Toward Absolute Zero can be purchased through The Genre Mall at http://www.genremall.com/poetryr.htm#towardabsolutezero and as a ebook through Drive-Through Sci Fi at http://scifi.drivethrustuff.com. EEKU and ChemICKals are out of print.

EEKU was # 1 Best Seller 7/16/05 - 7/31/05 on ProjectPulp.com

ChemICKals is mentioned in Ellen Datlow's Summation 2007: Horror under "Poetry Chapbooks, Collections and Anthologies" in The Year's Best Fantasy and Horror, Twenty-First Annual Collection.

EEKU is mentioned in Ellen Datlow's Summation 2005: Horror under "Poetry Collections and Magazines" in The Year's Best Fantasy and Horror, Nineteenth Annual Collection.

"Bleach" from my poetry collection ChemICKals was chosen for inclusion in DWARF STARS 2008, an anthology of the best short-short (ten lines and under) science fiction, fantasy, and horror poetry published in 2007.

A scifaiku from EEKU was selected to appear in Dwarf Stars 2006, an anthology of the best short-short (ten lines or less) science fiction, fantasy, and horror poetry published in 2005.

Toward Absolute Zero made the preliminary ballot of the Bram Stoker Award for Superior Achievement in a Poetry Collection.

Donna Royston of Strange Hoizons reviewed EEKU on January 12, 2006.  Some her comments included "Newman has both wit and a sense of humor and these two characteristics are what contribute to the fun side of this collection.  But don't think these poems are all laughs.  Humor and wit are balanced against the horrific-scenes at a morgue, a chemical lab, a toxic waste zone, and the moment of an atomic blast.  Whether your taste is gore, humor, or psychological horror, you will find something to enjoy-and shiver over-here."  The full review can be read here http://www.strangehorizons.com/reviews/2006/01/eekucit.shtml
