Complete synthesizer alignment to factory specifications using the proper alignment equipment.

When a 10 meter radio is converted to 11 meters a complete synthesizer, transmit and receive alignment should be preformed as well for maximum performance of the radio.  Clipping a few wires and changing a few jumpers when converting a 10 meter radio to the 11 meter operation is not a complete conversion.  The synthesizer circuits, sideband frequency offsets, as well as transmit and receive alignments are tuned for 10 meters at the factory and need to be retuned for maximum performance on 11 meters.  Changing jumpers, clipping wires, and twisting ferrite cores for more wattage on a watt meter is not doing anything for proper tuning of the synthesizer and receive circuits on 11 meters.  Just because the radio will transmit on 11 meters does not mean it is properly tuned for maximum performance on 11 meters.  It takes the proper test equipment to maximize the performance on 11 meters.  A pair of wire cutters, a screwdriver and a cheap set of watt meters will not properly do the job for maximum performance as most conversion books would have you believe.  Many CB Truck Stops will claim to fully convert your radio and charge you well for what they do but a lot of the time they are simply doing about 1/3 of the proper conversion.  Many Truck Stop conversions consist of enabling the 11 meter channels and turning a few screws to make the wattage look good on a watt meter.  Nothing is done to the synthesizer and receive circuits.  If anything is done it is by ear and not the proper test equipment to factory specifications.

Repair prices due vary because of different problems that can occur and a free estimate is given before any work is performed.  Should the customer decide not to have the repair done there will be no charge other then shipping charges back to the customer.

Matching a radios drive power to an amplifier for proper operation and a cleaner, louder signal is available.
