Camp Rules - Revised 10/2005

1. Rental deposit must be paid in advance and rental agreement signed; the balance is due by the week of camp. A standard weeklong camp is a five-day period starting Monday morning at 8:00 a.m. running through to Friday night at 7:00 p.m. Standard Weekend camp is a three-day period starting Friday and ending Sunday. Check-In is 8am, Check-Out is 7pm. The balance of all fees is due by 3pm on the last day of camp. Standard weeklong camp fee is $650 this includes all cabins, Dining Hall, & Rec Hall. Weekend camp rates vary depending on facilities used. Facility rates are as follows: Cabins-$50 each per night, Rec Hall-$100 per day, Dining Hall-$150 per day.

2. A security deposit of $100 must be paid in advance by separate check to the Fayette County Park. This deposit covers the destruction of any property or buildings, and the kitchen items used by the camps; this fee is refundable if the ending camp inventory of all kitchen items (silverware, utensils, glasses etc.) matches the beginning inventory and all buildings are intact from any writing or destruction;

3. All camp directors must furnish proof of liability insurance to the Park Superintendent before camping dates. This must be written form and will be kept with park files as a matter of record;

4. All scheduling of events must be made with the Fayette County Park Superintendent. A daily itinerary should be provided at the beginning of camp;

5. The entrance gate will be closed and locked daily from 9:00 p.m. until 8:00 a.m. Arrangements must be made with the Park Superintendent and names given if there should be anyone who needs in or out between closed hours. These individuals should be kept to a minimum;

6. Sales of snacks are not allowed in the park except by the authorized vendor at the park Canteen. Treats given away by the camp director as a matter of reward are allowed but cannot be sold except by the park Canteen;

7. User will be responsible for clean up of premises after use. Daily cleaning of buildings used by campers, this includes sweeping and wiping down entire Dining Hall, mopping entire floor and daily cleaning of the stoves and grill area. In addition, a complete daily sweeping of the Recreation Hall. Park employees will take care of the bathrooms;

8. Use of the pool is as follows:**
9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Beginners swimming (2 classes)
2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. General swim with the public (50% of the campers)
3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. General swim with the public (50% of the campers)
Wed. night = 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. After hour Splash Party

*User will employ a (WSI) Water Safety Instructor to handle the Beginners Swimming and the Splash Party. The user will have adult supervision for campers in the afternoon. All campers must enter the pool area as a group at the same time.

*Any camps needing lifeguards for morning swim or Wednesday night Splash Party must contact the Park Superintendent to enable him to change lifeguard scheduling. This needs to be done in advance before week of camp.

9. THE FAYETTE COUNTY PARK DOES NOT SUPPLY LIGHTS AND OTHER DECORATIONS, NOR IS THE PARK RESPOSNSIBLE FOR PUTTING THEM UP. STAFF WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE TO ASSIST IN DECORATING.

10. THE TABLES IN THE RECREATION HALL WILL NOT BE REMOVED FROM THE BUILDING; THEY CAN BE REARRANGED IF NECCESARY- BUT NOT REMOVED.

11. THERE ARE NO SPECIFIC AREAS SET-UP FOR RV's (WATER/POWER). WE CAN ACCOMODATE ONE OR TWO BUT ARRANGEMENTS MUST BE MADE IN ADVANCE.

12. THE DINING HALL HAS SILVERWARE/ETC. (SPOONS, FORKS, KNIVES, BOWLS, CUPS, TRAYS) TO SERVE APPROXIMATELY 200 PEOPLE. THERE ARE ALSO MIXERS, BAKING PANS, SKILLETS TO PREPARE FOOD IN. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR CLEANING OF ALL MATERIALS USED. INVENTORY IS TAKEN BEFORE AND AFTER CAMP--IF ANYTHING IS MISSING OR BROKEN IT WILL BE CHARGED TO YOUR GROUP.

13. The Fayette Co. Health Dept. is given a list of all camps at the park and may do an inspection at any time. They can and will shut you down if your inspection is unsatisfactory.

14. DAY CAMP ONLY - User fee of $1.00 per head will be charged per day for swimming. The head count will be turned into the office at the end of each day. The total for the week should be paid in full on the last day of camp.
