Some people contend that Sunday School is a thing of the past.  It is a thing that is good for kids when growing up, but not neccessary for adults.  Here at CCC we want to introduce you to a warm welcoming environment every Sunday morning at 10am, where you will find people of all ages striving to learn more about the scriptures.

There is a class developed for all ages, and is focused towards the learning and application of the scriptures in the New and Old Testaments.  We look forward to seeing you there!

Below is a fine article developed by Dr. Hoyt Allen of the KYOWVA foundation.

"I BELIEVE IN SUNDAY SCHOOL"

By Hoyt W. Allen, Jr.

( I Contend That The Following Three Reasons
For Being In Sundays School Are Scriptural)

1. TO OBEY THE COMMAND OF GOD

"Study to show thyself approved unto God..." II Tim. 2:15; "Let us not give up meeting together..." Heb. 10:25. It is sad to realize that many Christians spend more time reading the daily newspaper than they do the Bible. We must wake up to the fact that Bible Study is a command of God! Faithful study of the Word in Bible School each Lord's Day is the very least we can do in obeying this command.

2. TO STRENGTHEN THE SPIRITUAL LIFE OF OUR FAMILY AND COUNTRY

Of the 67 million young people in America, more than 42 million receive no religious instruction at all. Is it any wonder that our families and our country are in trouble? How long can the religious life of a nation be maintained when seven out of ten of its youth receive no Christian training? The Bible School offers an answer to this urgent problem It supplies good Christian training for the entire family, from the smallest child to the mature adult, and plays a key role in building happy homes and a healthy society.

3. TO TRAIN YOURSELF FOR CHRISTIAN SERVICE

85% of all church members come out of the Bible School. 95% of all Christian preachers, teachers, and church officers were first Bible School students. These facts clearly indicate that the Bible School plays a key role in recruiting and training people for service in Christ's Kingdom. There are over 60 million people in America who attend Bible School each week. If not already an active member of a Bible School Class, why don't you join this happy throng this next Sunday.

"WE NEED SUNDAY SCHOOL, AS IT..."

By Dr. Hoyt W. Allen, Jr.

1) Teaches the Bible as the Inspired Word Of God

2) Instructs one on how to be forgiven of sins

3) Prepares one on how to "handle life’s problems"

4) Teaches submission and respect for laws of man and God

5) Helps the student to build a strong constitution

6) Provides opportunities for Christian service

7) Establishes possible friendships which can last a lifetime

8) Grants the opportunity to discuss problems of life

9) Develops leadership potential

10) Fulfills the command to study the Bible (II Timothy 2:15)

No one ever gets "so smart" that he/she cannot learn just a little bit more of the Bible. It is the Bible that keeps one from sin and sin that keeps one from the Bible.

Remember that Prayer goes right along with Bible study. How is your Prayer Life? When was the last time you prayed for a lost family member, close friend, your church, or your nation?
